I miss my computer!

I love my kids. I really do and I'm ecstatic that I have the chance to get away from the California cold (yes, there is more to California than the southern part of the state) but we planned their visits back to back and I'm just dreading getting on a plane first thing in the morning when we just got back.

We had a great time at our daughters though and thankfully both locations are much warmer than here at home.

I had a milestone birthday and instead of a party we decided that it would be more fun to celebrate with the kids, each of whom happen to be 2000 and 3000 miles from home and a thousand miles away from each other. So we headed to the east coast and in addition to celebrating my birthday we celebrated our son-in-law's recent military graduation. Sadly, there was no ceremony despite his placement at the top of his class but I'm told they tend to do this when schedules are skewed as they are right now thanks, in no small part, to the recent hurricanes. But it was all good. For my birthday it was dinner and then a mystery dinner (well, drinks and appetizers) show which we all participated in. I and my husband had 4 or 5 lines, my daughter had a non-speaking role but they gave my son-in-law the largest part. He was awesome and I have it on vid as blackmail material later. For his celebration we had dinner and then did an escape room which, I might add, we aced in 38 minutes. :) The next half of the trip is coming up and I can't wait to see my son. The flights I could do without however.

But I really miss my computer. I'm looking forward to a day of rendering and character creating. I have a print I need to finish for my son and I'm looking into finding a good online print source for giclee's and photos. Also the Bodie Foundation has their calendar contest going now for 2019 and I'm planning on entering again. It's been a while since I have so I'm looking forward to that. I've been in the calendar twice now and in 2013 my entry made the cover. :)
