Isn't he adorable? Our friend who carved him said he would never do another one. :) He's more comfortable with bears and wildlife and he had to go off pictures we sent him and I think he even bought a plastic one from Target, lol. But he's here and he's mine and he's unique from the artist. :)

I'm happy.

Prayers going out to the victims of the Texas shooting

This should never happen but the fact that many members of that Church of Christ were armed is exactly why I support our second amendment. It was bad enough that two people were killed but had the shooter not been taken out by armed members, that number would have been much, much higher. A man at my parents Church carries and I am extremely grateful that he does.

We are decorated...

I've been sick so my husband brought it all in the house and got the tree ready to decorate. That's all I had to do. I do miss the old house but with the kids out on their own it was just way too much house for us to keep. It was awesome to have while the kids were growing up in and while holiday's do make me sentimental for it this place really does fit the two of us much better. And since it's half the size of the other it's much easier and cheaper to heat.
