An Update on Opinion Outpost

   Posted by: Kendra   in Internet

I posted, back in January, about Opinion Outpost and what I felt was a scam that should be avoided.   My issue is resolved but it took months and quite a few emails, finally, one sent to the company that is running Opinion Outpost.

A search I did online showed me that I was not alone in my complaint.  Many had the same issues and their own BBBOnline rating was a ‘C’.   A whois search gave me the company running OP so I cc’d a complaint to them and that’s when I began to get results.

Here’s what was happening:  Many times I would spend anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes on a survey only to get a message at the end that told me they had filled their quota (and despite my time spent would not get paid) or that I was suddenly not qualified.  (at the end of the survey, yeah right)   They are set up that you can only cash out at anything over $5.  I was under that but felt I was being scammed every time I logged in so I made my complaint and asked that they compensate me for the surveys that were a scam and set my earnings to the point where I could simply cash out and be done with their program.  They refused.  Then they locked me out of my account.  Now under $5 isn’t much to fight about but for me it was the principal of the issue.  I was not about to be scammed out of one dime and so I fought with emails and links to other upset customers.

They claim to be looking into the situation and my account has been re-opened with enough to cash out.  It obviously took a lot to get them to even glance at the problem.   Do a search on “Opinion Outpost” and the first Google recommendations is for “Opinion Outpost Scam”.   Not good publicity.  http://www.surveypolice.com/opinion-outpost

They claim to be looking into the problem.  I for one will not stay with them.  My faith in the company and the way they treated a legitimate complaint has been completely shattered.
