That about says it all.
Remember James O’Keefe? He and Hannah Giles broke the news stories on just how far ACORN was willing to go, including breaking laws. Several ACORN (Obama’s pets) offices aggreed to help them set up illegal underage prostitution houses with federal aid. The stories broke and the left went nuts. They completely ignored the fact that the ACORN offices were more than willing to break the laws. Enter todays news about O’Keefe attempting to wire tap Mary Landrieu’s office. The left are all over his “crime”. Where were they on ACORN’s crimes? Completely ignoring the issue, that’s where.
Reminds me of a time that I reported a copyright violation to a site I sell through. I had bought a merchants resource believing that the seller had the right to sell the digital images she was selling. Then someone posted a link to the website where she copied her resource from (it was quickly pulled from the forum at the request of the infringer). After contacting the website and learning that they did not, in fact, allow such use of their digital images I contacted the site she was selling them through and quietly reported it. Now I’ve been a member there for years and watched innocent mistakes publicly denounced in public forums. It ruins reps and serves no one. I reported it quietly so as not to destroy someone’s rep and what did I get for it? Her friends decided to post angry comments in the merchant forum, not towards her stupid mistake which she should have known better than to do but against the person who reported it. That’s right, her idiot friends claimed that a 3rd party shouldn’t have been able to bring the copyright infringement to the sites attention, that it was only the copyright holders place. The problem with that is the site that she stole from would never have known. Were it someone they weren’t personal friends with they would have had their pitchforks out against them. Did she, or they even bother to consider that I could have made a public issue out of it? She certainly wouldn’t be selling where she is now if I had. I did her a favor and she never even bothered to explain to her customers why she had to pull the product.
So same sh*t different market.
That about says it all.
Anyone? (crickets)
I just read the specs on Photoshop CS4 Extended. It looks amazing. When I get home to a faster internet connection I’m going to search deeper and look for screenshots but I am extremely impressed and am desperately wanting to upgrade from my Photoshop 7. I either need to win the lottery, find the right slot machine at the right time, keep blogging or have another ad agency want to license another image.
I’ve kind of gotten away from graphic design lately and have been concentrating on photography but I don’t appear to be the type that stays with something regularly. What do they call that; Jack of all trades, master of none? Yep, that’s me.
It’s a work in progress but here’s my first attempt at an animated logo. Well, I say first attempt but it’s actually the 15th version of this attempt that took a day and a half to get to this point.

That WIP down a couple of posts? Here’s one of the finished images. This one was created for a friend to showcase his bow and arrow prop.

I’m working on the clothing textures here. She’s not posed yet, I’m waiting on a prop to use and then I’ll add the correct lighting and other elements.
While waiting to leave I decided to get into changing this design. If I’ve missed anything and it needs tweaking I’ll have to deal with it when I get back. I was in an “Irish” mood last week but I’m kind of over it.
Now I’m in a spring/summer mood and wanted to use my mermaid.
I plan to take my computer to the show and work on the new business site design but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to find internet access that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. ![]()
Over on the sidebar is the widget for the ‘Giveaway of the day’. Today it’s a watermarking program that’s normally sold for $29.95. I downloaded it but haven’t had time to really and truly try it out. That’ll have to wait until I get back from Vegas but while I usually create my own watermarks for images I allow on the internet, I’m curious to see how this program works. Lately there have been a number of websites popping up where people are selling web designs made from copyrighted images. Sometimes watermarking can deter these thieves, not always but if you make it difficult for them to remove the watermark they are less likely to steal your work. On every image I post online I hide a watermark to prove it’s mine. At first glance you can’t see it so you wouldn’t think to look for it but if I had to prove to someone’s ISP that their customer is guilty of copyright infringement, I can. ![]()

It’s not live yet but when it is I’ll put a link to it over there on the side bar. I had planned to upload 3 rose photographs I had taken but after uploading the first I remembered that postage is about to go up so I’ll wait on the others until that happens. I know people are buying the ‘Forever’ stamps right now. And if you’re not, you should be. The ‘Forever’ stamps that you can buy right now at $.41 apiece will be worth $.42 when the postal rates go up soon.
Regardless, after that happens I’ll have two more rose images uploaded to my Zazzle store. They’re perfect for spring, weddings, bridal showers, etc.

Here are a couple of images for those that may be into printing their own Christmas Cards. One is humorous and one cute. Look for them in the “Graphics” page. (link up there at the top)
